# Data import

**Moving to Bookingmood? Import your existing bookings, so your calendars are complete from the start.**

## [Import bookings from a spreadsheet](#import-bookings-from-a-spreadsheet)

Export your bookings from your previous system as a CSV file, then:

- Open a unit and go to _Synchronization_.
- Click _One-time import_ and select the CSV file.
- Under _Field mapping_, choose for each column what it contains: _Start date_, _End date_, _Title_ or _Notes_, or _Omit_ it. Columns mapped to _Notes_ are combined into the notes of the booking.
- Check the preview of the calendar on the right.
- Click _Confirm_.

The bookings are imported as confirmed bookings. Rows without a start and end date are skipped. Repeat for each unit.

Unlike an [iCal import](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/synchronization/ical), a one-time import doesn't stay connected to the source: imported bookings are normal bookings that you can edit.

## [Move from AvailabilityCalendar.com](#move-from-availabilitycalendar-com)

You can import your units, calendars and team members from AvailabilityCalendar.com at once.

- Go to _Settings_ › _General_ and click _Data import_. Only Superusers see this button.
- Select AvailabilityCalendar.com as provider.
- Paste the _Export token_ from your AvailabilityCalendar.com account and click _Start import_.
- Select the units and members to import, and confirm.

The guide [Migrating from AvailabilityCalendar.com](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/guides/migrating-from-availability-calendar) explains the whole move step by step.

Using another system? Let us know via _Suggest a new provider_ on the _Data import_ screen.
