# Capacity

**The capacity of a unit is how many guests it can host. When guests count differently, for example because children pay less, split the capacity into groups such as** _**Adults**_ **and** _**Children**_**.**

Capacity groups are shared by all units of your organization; each unit sets its own minimum and maximum per group.

## [Add a capacity group](#add-a-capacity-group)

- Open a unit.
- Go to _Settings_.
- Under _Capacity_, click _+ Group_.

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| _Name_ | The singular and plural form of the group, for example _Adult_ and _Adults_. |
| _Type_ | _Manual input_: set a minimum and maximum for this group. _Sum of other groups_: the minimum and maximum apply to the total of other groups. |
| _Description_ | Shown with the group in the booking form, for example _0-18 years_ for _Children_. |
| _Require explicit input in booking form_ | Guests must enter a number for this group themselves. |

Deleting a group removes it from all units in the organization.

- _Adults_
- _Children_
- _Guests_: the sum of _Adults_ and _Children_

The unit hosts at most 4 _Guests_, and at least 1 _Adult_ is required.
