# Rent period

**Holiday homes are usually rented per night: guests arrive on one day and leave on another. Venues and boats are often rented per day. Each unit is rented either per night or per day.**

## [Per night](#per-night)

Guests select an arrival and a departure date. The departure date itself stays available for the next guest's arrival.

## [Per day](#per-day)

Guests select the first and the last day they book. Both days are booked.
