# Widgets

**A widget shows the availability of your units on your own website, and lets guests book. Create one in Bookingmood, then paste its embed code into your website.**

## [Create a channel](#create-a-channel)

- Go to _Channels_.
- Click _New channel_ and choose a type:

| Type | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| _Calendar widget_ | Availability or booking calendar of one unit. |
| _Timeline widget_ | The availability of several units side by side. |
| _Inventory widget_ | The number of units available per day, for units that are alike, such as camping pitches. |
| _Search widget_ | Lets guests search for available units. |
| _Pricing widget_ | The prices of one unit, see [Pricing widget](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/channels/pricing-widget). |
| _Reviews widget_ | Reviews from guests, see [Reviews](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/reviews). |
| _Single-unit website_ | A website for one unit, see [Websites](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/channels/websites). |
| _Multi-unit website_ | A website with search and filters for several units. |
| Google Vacation Rentals | Lists your units on Google, see the [integration](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/integrations/google-vacation-rentals). |

Then set up the widget, for example which units it shows and what happens when guests click a date. See [Widget settings](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/channels/widget-settings).

## [Embed the widget](#embed-the-widget)

- Open the widget.
- Click _Embed_.
- Choose how the widget appears:

| Method | Description |
| --- | --- |
| _Inline_ | Part of your page, where you place the code. |
| _Popup_ | A button that opens the widget in the center of the screen. |
| _Popover_ | A floating button that opens the widget in a popover. [See a demo](https://bm-widgets.carrd.co/). |
| _Side tab_ | A floating button that opens the widget in a side panel. |
| _oEmbed_ | A link that website builders supporting oEmbed turn into the widget. Also usable as a [shareable link](https://www.bookingmood.com/en-US/docs/channels/shareable-links). |
| _Website builder_ | Step-by-step guides for website builders. |
| _Colleague_ | Email the instructions to a colleague, for example your web designer. |

- Copy the code and place it in the HTML of your page where the widget should appear.

Changes you make to the widget later appear on your website automatically; you don't need to copy the code again.
