I can't think of anywhere else that could be more beautiful and peaceful than Mucklagh Lodge. The house itself is so cosy and welcoming, well equipped and in a stunning setting of forests, walking trails and breathtaking views. Our group has been twice and look forward to another visit.

The staff at Mucklagh, particularly Michelle, are equally incredible—kind, friendly, and always willing to help in any way they can. Once your booking is confirmed, you’re given access to a range of thoughtfully curated resources, including connections to local chefs, events, and activities. The lodge itself is exceptionally well-equipped for a meaningful retreat experience: en-suite rooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a spacious healing area complete with an open fire. The surrounding land is something that truly needs to be experienced—it defies description or photographs. From ancient forests and rose gardens to meandering streams and fire circles, every part of the property adds depth and richness to your time there. This is a family-run business, clearly operated with heart and soul. Katherine and her team go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcomed and cared for—nothing is ever too much trouble. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with towels and soap provided. The outdoor space is beautiful, and al fresco dining is also an option if desired. This venue offers exceptional value and tends to book up quickly, so if you're considering a visit, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed.
