# Attributes

**Attributes describe your units, such as** _**Swimming pool**_ **with the options** _**Yes**_ **and** _**No**_**, or** _**Facilities**_ **with several options. With attributes you can:**

- Show the characteristics of a unit to guests.
- Let guests search and filter units in widgets and on websites.
- Filter units in the admin panel.

Attributes are shared by all units of your organization; each unit picks its own options.

## [Add an attribute](#add-an-attribute)

- Open a unit.
- Go to _Appearance_.
- Under _Attributes_, click _+ Attribute_.
- Choose the type: _Single select_ (one option per unit) or _Multi select_ (several options per unit).
- Enter the name, for example _Swimming pool_.
- Click _No option selected_ and add the options, for example _Yes_ and _No_.

Open the other unit's _Appearance_ tab. The attribute is already listed; select the option that applies.

Deleting an attribute removes it from all units in the organization.
