# Pages

**A website consists of pages. Each page is built from sections, such as text, a calendar, search results or contact details.**

## [Special pages](#special-pages)

- _Home page_: the page visitors see first.
- _Search page_: where guests search for available units. Multi-unit websites only.
- _Detail page_: the template for the page of each unit, with its images, description, calendar and booking form.

## [Add a page](#add-a-page)

- Open the website under _Channels_.
- Go to _Pages_ and click _+ Page_.
- Enter a _Title_ and _Slug_, the last part of the page's address.

## [Edit a page](#edit-a-page)

Click a section to edit it, or add a new one. Sections include:

- _Text_ and images.
- _Calendar_: the availability calendar of a unit.
- _Catalog_: a list of units, with _Filters_ and a _Show search bar_ option, and options to _Show address_, _Show capacity_, _Show price range_ and _Show rating_.
- _Contact details_.
- _Embed_ and _Custom HTML_, for example a map or a form from another service.

Arrange sections in a _Row_ or _Stack_ and set their _Height_.

## [Navigation](#navigation)

Under _Navigation_, add the links in the website's menu. A _Navigation item_ links to a page, or to another address in a _New tab_ or the _Same tab_. Add a _Subitem_ for a dropdown menu.

## [Search engines](#search-engines)

Under the page's settings, enter the _Title_ and _Description_ search engines show. The _Search engine preview_ shows how the page appears in search results.

## [Publish](#publish)

New pages are a _Draft_. Click _Publish page_ to make a page visible, or _Unpublish page_ to hide it again. _View page_ opens the published page.
