Refunds

Refunds keep track of money you return to guests: refundable deposits after their stay, and refunds after a cancellation. Bookingmood records refunds; you make the actual transfer yourself, in your payment provider or bank.

Refundable deposits#

When a price includes a refundable deposit, a refund is created for it, due at the moment set in the deposit's refund policy, for example 7 days after departure. See Deposits, discounts and installments.

Open a booking to see its Deposit refunds and their status: Refund due, Refund due later, Refunded or Not refunded.

All refunds#

Go to Refunds in the side navigation to see the refunds of all bookings. Search by reference and export the list as a spreadsheet.

Record a refund#

• Return the money in your payment provider's dashboard or by bank transfer.

• Open the refund from the booking or from Refunds.

• Enter the amount Refunded, and turn on Refund completed once everything has been returned.

• Optionally, add a Refund comment, for example to explain why part of the deposit was kept.

You can also change the Due on date of a refund.
