Taxes

Taxes are percentages applied to the rent and to fees, such as VAT. They're shared by all units of your organization; you select which taxes apply to each price.

A tax per person per night, such as a tourist tax, is usually a fixed fee rather than a percentage. Add it as a field of the booking form.

Create a tax

  • Open a unit and go to Rent, or open a field of the Booking form.

  • Under Taxes, open the list and click Create tax.

  • Enter the name and percentage, and choose:

    • On top of price: the tax is added to the price.

    • Included in price: the price already includes the tax, which is shown separately.

Apply taxes

  • For the rent: go to the unit's Rent tab, click Edit on the price and select the taxes.

  • For a fee: open the field in the unit's Booking form and select the taxes.

  • For a single booking: open the booking and select the taxes of a line item, see Booking details.

Taxes are shown per line on invoices and in the price breakdown guests see.

Change or delete a tax

Open the list of taxes from any price and edit the tax. Deleting a tax removes it from all prices, but bookings that already include it keep it.
