Deposits, discounts and installments

Fees in the booking form, like the rent, can have a refundable deposit, discounts and a payment schedule. Open a unit, go to Booking form and open a field with a price.

Refundable deposit#

A deposit is paid by the guest as security, for example for a hot tub, and returned after the stay.

• Click + Deposit.

• Enter the amount.

• Set the Deposit refund policy: the Moment the deposit should be returned, such as 7 days after departure.

Bookingmood shows deposits that are due for return under Refunds, but doesn't return them automatically. See Refunds.

Discounts#

• Click + Discount.

• Enter a Fixed amount or a Percentage.

• Add a precondition, for example a booking duration of at least 7 nights or an arrival in a season.

Discounts are applied before coupons.

Installments#

By default, a fee is paid with the rest of the booking. To have guests pay it at another moment, or in parts:

• Click + Installment.

• Choose a Moment, such as At confirmation, 30 days before arrival or On-site, and the part of the fee due then.

The last installment is automatically adjusted so the full amount is charged. When the installments of a fee differ from those of the rent, guests see separate payments in the payment schedule. See Booking payments.
